Q What new hardware is needed to run the Loyalty Card?
A Loyalty Smart Card readers connected supplied by (Loyalty Logistix) to a USB port on a windows based PC is required at each retail site involved in the loyalty card schemes.
Q What operating system is required to run the desktop application?
A The desktop appliction will run on Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP (pro and home edition. Recommended operating systems are Windows 200 and XP professional.
Q Is an internet connection required at retail sites where the card reader is used?
A Yes. The application receives information on loyalty card schemes from the Loyalty Logistix Server and sends transaction information back to the server.
Q What connection speeds are assumed?
A 56Kbps minimum broadband preferred.
Q What is the required screen resolution?
A 800x600
Q Who would be responsible for maintaining retailer users.
A Each retailer has their own administrator who maintains their user logins and company name and address
Q Who would maintain loyalty programs controlling current offers etc?
A This can be done either
by a network administrator (or "Superuser" ) employed by the customer
or
by Loyalty Logistix on instruction by the customer
Q Who would create the loyalty cards?
A Loyalty Logistix would create the cards on instruction by the retailer network (usually by a daily electronic data transfer).
Q If a vehicle is sold is the card transferred with the card or does it stay with the customer?
A The rules regarding transfer are entirely the choice of the commissioning network.
